In the contemporary climate, there has been an influx in opportunities for Indigenous peoples within the arts. However, this inclusion often doesn’t consider Indigenous worldviews and relationships to art. I can help you create methodological frameworks for your organization, instiution or collective that honor Indigenous ways of being and knowing, ensuring that we are actually creating sovereign space for Indigenous art and communities.

These services extend to both non-Indigenous and Indigenous collectives seeking to build better worlds. For non-Indigenous collectives, I offer development related to methodology, policy, governance, publications, programs and outreach. For Indigenous collectives, I offer guidance around the process of translating place-specific ways of creating into specific and concrete methodologies. Often, Indigenous art collectives are faced with the pressure of replicating western approaches to art. I can also offer guidance about how to subvert, reject and transcend these pressures in ways that honor Indigenous art while also making sense logistically and financially for Indigenous organizations.
